Questions
We measure from your browser to the nearest cloud region for each server, not to the exact match server. Expect a difference of a few milliseconds either way.
Different servers follow different network routes. Your ISP may reach one server quickly and take a longer or busier path to another.
High speed doesn't guarantee low latency. Distance, routing quality, Wi-Fi stability and VPN hops usually matter more than raw bandwidth.
Use a wired connection if possible, close background apps and avoid crowded Wi-Fi. If your normal route is unstable, a VPN or GPN can sometimes give you a cleaner path.
Very. Lower ping means faster hit registration, smoother movement and fewer desync moments. Anything above about 80–100 ms is usually noticeable in competitive play.
Run a ping test or traceroute, or check in-game network stats. Sudden stutters, rubber-banding and delayed shots often point to loss even if ping looks fine.
